You will also meet the perpetual optimist who can NEVER believe that a manufacturer will make machines that a DIY can stick his hands into that would harm him. (The manufacturer is assumed to have covered any situation where the clueless can blow themselves up.) This naive optimist can have engineering skill, but is constantly blind to the danger others can get into and he TOTALLY disagrees with the manufacturer's instructions to call a qualified professional that is written in the Owner's Manual and probably the Warrantee Certificate. He is NOT a flamer; but can just as annoying and will encourage flamers by giving backup and more ammunition. DIY's DO NOT like to be told there is something they can't do, so the optimist and the flamer agree.
