This is the EASY way to do it accurately; copy the insulation values from the bluepirints; use the R values for the insulation inside the structure stud spaces.

Heatloss Lite is a version of HEATLOSS to use for FREE. but only if you have Windows XP or Vista. The HeatPro program on another page that runs on Windows 98, XP and Vista, that does heating and cooling with duct, radiant and baseboard sizing is so large at 12 megs that it takes a loooong time to download, so is better sent on a CD by mail. .NET makes it possible to download this small 1 meg version.

HeatLoss Lite is a no-frills single-window heating-only version of HeatPro, like the one-room version on another page; but it does unlimited numbers of rooms, like the full heating and cooling version of HeatPro. It makes a printed page to save and keeps a Microsoft Access MDB file for future reference.

Clever programmers can 'hook into' the MDB database for expansion of their own programs.

This HeatLoss version is my latest in 35 years of programs for this purpose. Contributions to keep this work going are gratefully accepted, and by buying a book from this web site.
